Master Class in Clones Lace and Irish Crochet
Lacis, Berkeley SFO . July 31 – August 3
I call this my masterclass, as I have been doing every year since 2010, and Jules Kliot has told me I can continue to do it for as long as I want to!:)
Some of the students have been coming to this workshop every year since 2010 and are becoming very proficient Irish Crochet lacemakers, producing beautiful work. Some have gone towards the Modern Irish Crochet, inspired by Mod and Duplet, while others, such as Jeff who entered the Poppy Project with IOLI last year, have gone very fine. I am very proud of them all:)

Is there any chance of you being in the Great Lakes region like Illinois, Wisconsin or Indiana? I found out about your class last year in Arlington Heights but it was too late to join. I admire your work.

It’s great that you are interested in the Lafayette workshop. We have really started organising it
yet, until we get more numbers. I’d say 8 – 10 would be a good number to confirm. I’ll add you to the list.
Where would you be travelling from? Are you part of a group where you might get more names?

I’ll be traveling from Ville Platte, La (about an hour north of lafayette). And to answer your question, no I am not part of a group. I just happen to work in an awesome place where I get to crochet, and where my boss is a knitter/crocheter too. I was trying to see if she would like to join me in attending the workshop, but as its the weekend after the 4th of July, its going to be a busy weekend so she wouldn’t be able to take off all 3 days. she’d only be able to attend one of the 3, which would more than likely be a sunday.

It wouldn’t be a problem, if she was only able to come for one day! I’m sure it would be okay with Wanda. Ask her if I can put her name down for one day. I always have people at various stages, and if they dont mind, I don’t mind! So long as it gives them a taste for more…..:) Máire
